Liebe Jazz und Bluesfreunde,
Freitag Abend um 20.30 gibt es in der JazzLounge ein Sondergastspiel für Freunde des britischen Tradjazz mit der Skiffleband "Banjosmith" featuring Sean Moyses. Der Brite Sean Moyses ist nicht nur ein sehr sympathischer Sänger und Entertainer, sondern auch einer der virtuosesten Banjospieler Europas. Er spielt regelmäßig mit Rod Mason, Bob Kerr und dem Pasadena Roof Orchestra. Banjosmith besteht aus Werner Forkel (bj, g), Hans Hepting (bj, washboard) und Markus Widmann (b).

First, just wanted to say thanks for continuing to provide this newsletter. It is fantastic to have this ongoing information on what's happening in the banjo world. I really respect your dedication and time contribution. Thanks so much to you, and to all the contributors. Second, I thought I'd forward some information on a couple upcoming tours. Also, I'll be back in Europe...MAY in EuropeI'll be back at the Breda International Jazz Festival in The Netherlands May 5-8, 2005. I'm really looking forward to it -- haven't been there in ages! Also, I'm glad to return to the Dresden International Jazz Festival in Germany, May 10-16, plus I'll be giving a concert at the Berlin Karlshorst Jazz Treff on May 17, with my band comprised of both USA and European players.
I am really looking forward to these festivals! Greetings from fellow banjo players are always particularly welcomed!!
